Seller has NOT shipped the puchased?

What to do when a seller does not ship an item you purchased; you emailed that seller several  times with NO response  back and then E Bay states the item is not under the portection policy!

One seller stated the item has been shipped 6/2, now 7/23 NO tracking # stating it has! The other states she forgot to look at her emails, then stated she did not know how to do a return. Once again NO emails from her what so ever since.

So in favor of the sellers on E Bay they want their cut of the sale and the buyer does NOT get the item or a REFUND, POLICY!

Talking to  EBCS is a waste of time. So my question is why buy doesn't E Bay want to help the buyer? With out us the seller is lost...

Looks like you have had two recent transactions, both bad. Have you opened an actual item not received case against that seller? As for the return, did you open an item not as described case? You have thirty days after the estimated delivery date to do so.The process is easy and all automated, no need to call Ebay. If it is past that, and you used Paypal, open a case there, you have six months. Or if you used a cc, try for a chargeback.

P.S. Had you opened an item not as described case against that second seller, she would have been responsible to send you a return label. If she did not, you ask Ebay to step in on the case, and you would have been refunded immediately. You really need to read up on Ebays MBG for buyers.

(1) Exactly what was the item that you purchased that eBay claimed was not covered under the MBG?

Or was it that you waited past 30 days to open the INR claim with eBay?

(2) So there was a second item also?  If there was no tracking proving delivery, and the last estimated delivery date has passed, why would you not open an INR case?

ETA:  You've left three negative FBs for sellers.  All of them appear to involve problems that could have been resolved by using the Money Back Guarantee for buyers in a timely fashion.  It sounds like you are either unaware of the MBG or chose not to use it for some unknown reason.  Or that you waited past 30 days to utilize it.

How about returning and telling us how those situations played out? In the meantime, if it's not too late, open INRs on any case that you can.

@meiko1-us,

If you looked up a number for ebay customer service online, you did not reach eBay. Those numbers are most likely ways of collecting your ebay information, "phishing"  to send you bogus offers or messages about nonexistent purchases.

One of the things that eBay has done well is their Money Back Guarantee.  Those who have taken the time to read the policy and its time lines, have no need to speak to a representative. Most issues are handled by an automated system, where buyers win 99.9% of the time.  You should check the buyer protection policy for any site you buy from online, before making purchases.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy...

One other thing you should do is, check the feedback profile page of any seller you intend to purchase from, before buying from them. They could have a fair number of feedback, and even a 100% rating, but all for buying, not selling.

The last feedback you left was for a seller who has only made 1 sale in the last year according to their profile.  The rest of their feedback is for buying.  Unfortunately, many New sellers or those who have not sold anything in over a year,  who have only bought before do not know that ebay places a 21-30 day hold on the first few payments they receive.  On their accounts, the payment status shows Pending, so they tend not to ship their items, thinking they haven't received payment yet. That is just one reason why you should check the feedback profile page of any seller you intend to buy from.

FYI, if you continue buying on ebay, you should know that as a buyer only, you can only receive positive feedback. That means your ebay reputation is judged by the feedback you leave for others. If you only leave feedback when things go wrong.  Sellers you make offers to, or whose items you bid on, may decide not to reply to offers, or cancel your bids, after checking your profile.

eBay does want to help you but it appears you didn't open a case within 30 days. The seller's shipping time is one day delivery,  UPS Air Saver, purchased on May 25th.

The red flag for me is the free overnight delivery is going to cost more than what you paid for the item.  When there's  not enough money charged in the item cost to cover the shipping it's not likely the seller will send it.  You needed to try to get a refund from eBay by no later than June 26th. You actually should have tried to get a refund a week after paying since it was one day delivery.

If you paid with PayPal file a dispute there.

If you didn't  pay with PayPal but you paid with a credit card file a chargeback with your credit card co.

As long as you fully read & understand the money back guarantee - you follow the steps outlined there & you are good in most situations. When the delivery date has passed, file an item not received case. You do not need to continuously harass the seller via message. You end up with the wall of silence that you received.

Just remember you need to follow the time sensitive guidelines when opening cases & be certain to open the proper kind of case as well. Do not close them early. You only get one bite of the apple.

Ebay responded by stating it was not covered under MBG, how can you open a INR case? Ebay says to contact the seller to resolve the problem but when you do Ebay seems to get upset. The seller still has NOT responded over the last month on the one I opened, so what  good did this do?  So contact the seller, open a dispute, followup with further emails and wait! The seller still does not answer back, E bay MBG does not exist

on this item, I am out the product, money and time wasted on this issue! Does E Bay step in? Not so far!

Hi @meiko1-us

You appear to have purchased an item that was listed in the 'Everything Else' Category ... which does NOT offer a Money Back Guarantee.

If you have NOT received anything by mail or email ... then contact your credit card company ASAP and ask them to reverse the charges.

They were right.

Not sure what part you think is wrong with their reply?

Coming here asking for help, then calling them stupid when they do help, won't get you very far here.

Have a great day
