Is there a way to place a higher bid than the starting bid? For example, can I bid $20 instead of just $.99? I can't figure out how to do it and I am afraid I won't win the auction if no body else bids.  I bet the seller has a reserve and won't sell it for $.99.  Thanks for your help!

Sure...you can bid ANY amount at any time. Make sure you bid the absolute MOST you would be willing to spend on the listing, preferably as late as possible.

If there is a Reserve Price on the listing, you will see it "Reserve Met/Reserve Not Met"
