how do I refund for one item out of 17 paid for in one order?

a buyer bought and paid for 17 items, all on one order.  I need to refund him for one of the 17 items and I see no way to do that.

I click on order details, which then shows each individual item in the order, then I click on the drop down menu on that individual item "Cancel order" and the next page loads with all 17 items to be canceled. 

I've been selling on ebay since 2007, over 14,000 sales on ebay and somehow I can't see a way to refund one $170 item.

Do you not see an option to do a partial refund? Maybe this only becomes available after you have shipped the items. I'm sure you have done partial refunds before, having done so much business, but I thought I would mention it anyhow.
