So, I sold a couple of items about 2 weeks ago, and went to print shipping labels one evening, and to my surprise it seems that shipping labels had already been printed. Am I losing my mind? Did I print these in my sleep one night? Not so. I clicked on the little shipping tab and it seems someone hacked into my account and managed to print 16 International Overnight Shipping tickets for 3 different sales to my account for the tune of $2900.00. Aside from that, there were now 16 different members across the US that somehow were linked directly to my Ebay account, so when you print a shipping label anyone of these 16 names would appear as the return address. Oh, and on top of this I have had 2 cases against me due to the mix-up in the all these shipping labels, and of course it wiped out my Top Rated Seller and Powerseller status, dropped my DSR's, and now I have had limitations put on my selling account on Ebay, and of course they won't work with me to get these cases closed and my TRS and PS status reinstated. After 8 years on Ebay, and over 1300 Positive feedbacks, I am nailed because of a hacker and Ebay won't do anything for me. BS!
So of course I freaked out as Ebay is connected to my Paypal account and my Paypal account is linked to my personal bank account, and I find that since of course there wasn't $2900.00 in my Paypal account it hit my personal bank account and they surely did take $2900.00 from me. I call Ebay in a panick at 11pm that night, I get hooked up with what they call a "SECURITY SPECIALIST" who barely spoke English and the best they could say is we will look into it and I should change my password immediately (YOU THINK)???? They then tell me to call Paypal as it is out of there hands. So next I call Paypal and I'm on the phone with them for 2 hours. Same thing, they will investigate, and stop the payments on all these shipping charges. TOO LATE, they have already come out of my bank account. So after 2 hours with Paypal, they tell me it is out of there hands and I need to contact my bank and talk to them. I ended up having to close all my accounts in my bank and with Paypal and I'm out $2900.00 hoping it will get resolved and I will get my money back, and still Ebay can't help with who hacked into my account.
I think as others say in there postings, Ebay and Paypal could really care less about most of us as long as they keep collecting there fee's from us.
I guess people should watch there accounts closely. If it happened to me, it could happen to you, and don't count on Ebay or Paypal to bend over backwards in an instance like this to help me or YOU!
So now I went and purchased an item on Ebay the other day and realized that I can't pay for it because I disconnected my personal account from Paypal. I will be a cold day in HE** before I link my personal account to Paypal again after this matter. I guess I will have to see if I can send a money order to the sellers to pay for my items. I could care less if Ebay doesn't like it or want people to send money orders for items purchased.

BE CAREFUL EVERYONE!!!

PayPal is no longer owned by eBay.

For that last 2 1/2 weeks my X-mas sales plumeted for no apparent reason. I was not getting offers, questions let alone sales. I had some freinds send me test questions and offers to my eBay account and found that they were getting full page error type messages saying to try again later. I started rep[orting this to eBay by filing tech reports every day. I spent 12 hours on the phone to every possible department on eBay. My sales got so slow as to be almost non-existant. I attempted to pay my seller fees through the one-time payment option but instead of taking it out of Pay Pal like it was set up to do it went directly to my back up bank instead causing me not to be credited for my seller fees. I tried 10 times to pay this and it would not work. Now I am on hold for non payment of seller fees and cannot list and items are falling off my active list when they expire. I am still reporting my what seems like a glitch of error messages to my potential customers on a daily basis and nothing has been done. I have 800 plus items listed and I am having zero days on selling anything. Occasionally it does work but is very limited. They tell me my account is OK and nothing is wrong with it but I know better. It seems either someone in eBay has an agenda against me or somehow I have been hacked and they have put a sporadic block on incoming notifs and/or sales from customers. It seems to be some form of electronic harassment and I have no recourse. i have been on eBay for 10 years, have a rating of over 1400 and am top rated but it is starting to seem I am being pushed out of eBay. I wish I could get help.

@hiddenmuseum1969 Hi, turtle...I know you are a new poster to the community, so I tried to help you out by adding paragraphs to your post so it would be easier to read.

When you called eBay Customer Service, did you ask for Trust & Safety? That would be the department that handles a potential hack...and I seriously doubt that there is any intentional electronic harassment going on nor does eBay have an "agenda".

Thank you for the message. I certainly hope no one has an agenda with me. Trust and Safety were the first people I talked to and they saw nothing suspicious. Perhaps the error messages from my freinds test emails were do to X-mas congestion, I do not know, or business is just super slow but it is SO slow down 35-40% and after failed test emails receiving try again later it is extremely off putting. Also my one time payment attempt to pay seller fees was thwarted and did not work correctly. I later discovered a setting on Pay Pal had been mysteriouly reset so that it made my eBay seller fee be taken out of my Pay Pal back-up bank account which hadn't the funds to cover my attempt to pay seller fees. I reset that to Pay Pal being the preferred way of paying eBay fee's so hopefully that issue is taken care of. So now I only have to deal with extremely slow business and my account hold and their restrictions and trust that no one is intentionally blocking my notifs from customers. Ever heard of Gangstalking or electronic harassment?

That's crazy. I just got hacked and in the middle of figuring it all out. Someone ordered a necklace with my account. I got the necklace, but it debited my checking account for 1760. Not sure how it will turn out, but pay pal told me since it came thru clean, they couldn't help me.

I noticed on my dummy account, that I hovered, not clicked, over a noh styled mask from an anime called, "Black Bullet". And it first showed, "hijack99" in search bar, then xtendadsmedia.com, and finally shanates-bariety.com. There's nothing attached to ebay account, so they will pound sand, however, I'd recommend running malware removal tool on your system, along with any virus protection. I will be messaging ebay as well so they can do the additional fact checking.

eBay,bank and PayPal all incurage fraud and can care less about identity theft or your losses. They are as disonest as the people who steel on them. Using eBay or PayPal is not a very good idea anymore.

Hi there and thank you for the warning. Corporations are all lumped into a catalogory less caring and it is sad. Without the seller and buyer, the business would exist NOT. Hoping you had some resolve in your nightmare. I think eBay was hacked again as it is doing very weird things and stuff like pictures that I put on disappear. I have one accoun t linked to paypal and am going to change that because of your horrid experience. Take care!!
