Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

I see these forums are literally filled with complaints from sellers but none from buyers or from eBay. What does that tell ya?

I've been shafted by the "resolution center" more than once. They worry more about the $$$ than the facts.

Re: Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

Here is a  e-bay buyer complaint.  I placed a bid on an item ,and was signed that I did not meet this buyers requirments. So iI could not bid. The bid was 8.95 and I tried to bid 88.88. Obviously I wanted that item. When I asked an e-bay rep , i was told my account was not "linked" to my pay-pal account. I remember the last item I purchased I pushed a "buy it now" button and it was purchased and paid for with one click. (That seems "linked" to me) BUT I was told NO you are not "linked" and that is why you were not allowed to bid. OK you sellers, maybe this is where your buyers are going, maybe they are not "linked" to pay-pal so they are not allowed to bid (presumably by you)  Of course pay-pal and e-bay are separate companies Bla bla bla.  What a rude insult.

Re: Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

Here is a complaint from a buyer, I purchased a surveilance camera from an outfit calling itself "onestop_shop."  They sell equipment at a fraction of dealer cost, that should raise a flag right there.  Their sales and return policy is a moving target, don't get screwed by them as I did.  I returned the defective merchandise, they say there is nothing wrong with it and refuse to refund my money.  It's only $410.00, and the purchase took place in August 2016, too late for ebay or paypal to help out, nor will citibank help out with the credit card purchase, so the best I can do is small claims court or let the public know of this outfit -

Re: Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

I DISAGREE....EBAY IS SLANTED TOWARDS THE SELLER!! THE EVIDENCE: [1] ONLY A FEW WORDS ALLOWED BY BUYER WHEN PROVIDING FEEDBACK -- & [2] NEUTRAL, & ESPECIALLY NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS, PROVIDED BY BUYER --- ARE FOUGHT AGAINST BY BOTH EBAY & THE SELLER. I HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO HARASSMENT BY CERTAIN SELLERS,  MERELY FOR LEAVING AN OCCASIONAL NEUTRAL FEEDBACK ON A SELLER!!

IT APPEARS THAT ANY BUYER WHO OFFERS COMPLAINTS, ARE PENALIZED BY EBAY, VIA BEING 'BLOCKED' FROM PARTICIPATING IN CERTAIN EBAY AUCTIONS. GRANTED, CLEARLY, THE VAST MAJORITY OF JEWELRY STORE AUCTIONS [FOR EXAMPLE],  ARE 'RIGGED', VIA INTERNAL 'PRIVATE BIDDERS', WHO SERVE TO BID UP THE PRICE OF THE ITEM.

UNFORTUNATELY, COMPLAINING DIRECTLY TO EBAY, REGARDING THE ABOVE,  (VIA CONTACTING THEM VIA PHONE), IS A WORTHLESS EXPENDITURE OF YOUR TIME......

Re: Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!  EBAY PROCEEDS ON A DICTATORIAL BASIS.

ADMITTEDLY, EBAY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE, WITH PREPUBESCENTS & ADOLESCENTS,  ATTEMPTING TO RENDER ADVICE --- HOWEVER, WHAT USUALLY OCCURS IS THE 'TRANSFER GAME',  WITH EACH SUBSEQUENT EBAY REPRESENTATIVE KNOWING LESS, THAN THE ONE, PRIOR!!  LOL....

HOURS & EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING ARE LOST JUST FOR PARTICIPATING ACTIVELY ON EBAY!!

SUCH IS LIFE ON EBAY.....

BUYERS WHO LEAVE EITHER NEGATIVE, OR EVEN, NEUTRAL FEEDBACKS UPON SELLERS --- UNDERGO HARASSMENT BY THE SELLER, & ARE EBAY BLOCKED FROM PARTICIPATING IN CERTAIN AUCTIONS; &/or, from PURCHASING ITEMS FROM SELLERS, ETC....

THIS IS NOT FREE CAPITALISM!!!

BUT Rather, SOCIALISM.

Re: Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

THIS IS SOOOOO VERY TRUE!!!

THIS IS WHY I TRULY STATE THAT EBAY FAVORS SELLERS, AS ALL NEGATIVE FEEDBACK DIRECTED AGAINST THEM,  CAN BE REMOVED BY THE SELLER ---& EBAY, ITSELF!!!

THEREFORE, WHAT HAPPENED TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH????!!!???!!!!

GONE......ABOLISHED --- ALL IN FAVOR OF EXPLOITING THE BUYER, FOR THE PURPOSE,OF MAKING MONEY......

how terrible!!.....but, I am NOT SUPRISED.

EBAY ONLY ENCIURAGES THE EXCHANGES OF MONIES --- REGARDLESS IF THESE EXCHANGES ARE HONEST, or NOT.

Re: Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

I've been using eBay as a buyer for years under two id's. I have recently been buying gold pocket watches. My guess is that 80% of sellers are honest. A "bad" seller will sometimes dump his inventiory, of DVDs as an example. He will mislead the buyer and send him (or her) a DVD that was not as advertised.

I've noticed a very recent trend in watch sellers. The price is bid up to a maximum so I stop bidding. Like magic, the top bidder retracts his bid, and I am left as the high bidder. I canceled my bid as well because it is not fair for a buyer to have to pay the price inflated by a shill. If a bidder cancels his bid, THEN all of HIS bids should be cancelled, which would result in a lower final price. In an auction last week, a watch seller in MI allowed a bidder to cancel then awarded me the watch at an inflated price. It was a set-up, obviously. I refused to pay and now the seller has made a complaint against me. I will not pay. I will instead concentrate on the 12 pawn shops in town where I often buy gold pocket watches at 25% lower than on eBay. One final note: the seller in MI sent me an email asking me to bid up the price to punish the other bidders. Want proof? I have his email in my account. His suggestion is illegal in most states.

Re: Buyer Complaints? eBay Complaints? There are none!

I've long been suggesting a change and lately have been putting it in all the digital places I can.

It would be a simple and in my opion 'very workable' solution to change the buying/selling billing process.

Instead of registering the final selling value and chargng the seller then make the seller have to jump through hoops to get it back when the buyer won't go through or just refuses to answer at all.

Why doesn't Ebay charge the buyer the listing fee on winning the bidding.  Hear me out here.

Its simple. [ignore the maths % its just an example of process change]

Say item Z sells for $100 and the fee is $10.

Normally Ebay charges me $10 immediately [on the next invoice]

And hopefully the buyer completes and pays me my $100, thus $90 profit for me.

But increasingly, buyers and being aresholes and not paying or ignoring etc.

So my suggestion.

Same item sells at final value $100.

on final value, Ebay charges the buyer $10 listing fee immediately

The final fee minus the listing fee is then calculated and the buyers purchase fee automatically

gets reduced to $90.

Ebay is still in exactly the same position of being able to profit immensely on these sales that get reversed for whatever reason, I'm sure its worth millions over a single year in interest and the like but at least they're not penalising the seller.

On average most receivers claiming for a refund would be able to claim they same way a seller currently has to but this would stop a lot of bad buyers simply not responding or bidding on multiple items and just going through with the sale they want.

It's really easy for ebay to see that the buyer is ignoring and simply let the charge stand.  The buyer would have to satisfy ebay that they had a legit reason to ignore the sellers request etc.

Everyday my business grows, and less and less of it is due to Ebay. There are alternatives people.

K
