"Authentic Appraisals"

Anyone here have any experience with, or even heard of, "Authentic-appraisals," a k a "Authentic Memorabilia Appraisals"?  What's their reputation, if they even have one?  Asking on behalf of an acquaintance who has some autographs allegedly examined and certified by that company or person.

We're not much into autographs ourselves, but Richard Simon Sports, James Spence (JSA), and PSA/DNA seem to be the only authenticators who carry any weight at all among collectors -- similar to PSA, SGC, and Beckett among card collectors.  But what do we know -- maybe "Authentic-appraisals" is the GMA of auto collecting.   Thoughts?

All that I can contribute here, is that they are not on eBay's recommended list.

If your friend has the address of the person they purchased those from, they might want to do an address search on Authentic Appraisals and see if it happens to be the same address as the Seller or at least the same city.  Many Sellers are now issuing their own COA's and call anything and everything gem mint just to bum the price up.  I am been running across more and more of these on Ebay and when they are asked about it, the readily admit it.  Just a thought.
