The buyer claims package arrived opened and items are missing.
The auction was high value ($1500) and I sent via UPS with signature required. UPS confirmed that the package arrived, it was signed for, and ID verified. I did insure it. Buyer claims they never signed for it and driver acknowledged it was opened. They also claims it was poorly packed.
What happens if buyer demand I refund?

Good question - likely because the box wasn't actually opened.

There is some ways to get around this. First tell the buyer that you will be contacting Ebay fraud department. Along with filing a Fraud claim with the US post office. Sometimes this scares the buyer. I have been selling on Ebay for years. And yes I have faced some "Item Not In Box" customers. . In regards to the item missing. Your post office recite will show the weight of the box. If the buyer returns the item with a different weight. You know that most likely the buyer is fraudulent. To be honest almost always the buyer is scamming you. I would definitely filed a claim with the post office.
