I don't think you can sell overseas any part of a firearm or ammunition, you need a special export license.

Hi. Ebay has some strict guidelines on listing weapon components. You might want to take a look at the policy to make sure you're in compliance. I'm not familiar with firearms and accessories--your listing for the scope appears to fall within the rules but thought you might find this link helpful.

I'd sell it locally myself. Then again, since I am deep within the flyover portion of Oregon, and hunting season is rapidly coming up, it would likely be snapped up before I even finished writing up the ad. 😄

A scope is not considered by UPS or ebay as a weapon component. A component is a working part that would cause the weapon not to function. A scope is considered an accessory and as such is legal on UPS and ebay and USPS. Now laws in Malaysia are another matter that I can not comment on

Thank you for the correction. Clearly not my area of expertise, as mentioned.

Oh, come now. It isn't that easy.
You forgot to include policy, both written and un-written.

International/GSP shipping & customs fees are going to far exceed the $38.99 scope price. You also could end up paying shipping both ways if buyer open a "not as described" case or having to refund if you don't use tracked shipping (that's USPS/FedEx/UPS for eBay purposes of checking tracking online).
If you ship through GSP and the item is not allowed to be imported, you get your money back and so does the buyer. Pitney-Bowes keeps the item.

This is a large military/hunting store, explaining that rifle scope can't be exported (sold abroad) without a license:
