So today I got two separate orders each containing books I sold months ago.
I only sell books and one of the ghost listings was in a category that I haven't used in at least 6 months.
Ebay usual excuse of "You accidentally relisted it" does not apply as none of the books in that particular category were relisted. I created brand new listings for all of them. But there it was with a picture and everything.
Unfortunately this was a new customer to me and they only purchased the one book. I immediately refunded them and offered any other book in my store for free, so hope that goes all right. They haven't responded yet.
The second was with a repeat buyer who bought several and just laughed it off as it had happened to her as well.
I've been on Ebay since 1998 and I find this issue one of the most insidious, as it's almost impossible to find until you sell something and it can lose you a customer who will never come back if they think you're a bad seller. And Ebay seems to refuse to believe it's their issue and do something about it.
Anyone having this issue among the million other issues that are happening?
Had my first lost package this week, somewhere in Chicago was its' last scan. I've probably had less than 5 lost packages in my time and I ship Media, so that one doesn't upset me.
