Company I work for shut down and the owner told me to sell a couple of small machines. Now ebay has frozen my account for MC011 and is asking for reciepts. I can probably provide reciepts but they are under the company name, will that work?

Looks like you sold more than a 'couple of small machines'. Can you provide proof that you worked for that company?

Provide what you can is all you can do. A new account selling a lot of high value items in a short time can trigger that.

Did you sell anything that requires a prescription?

Ebay told seller to ship and THEN held back funds.

Yes, because the buyer paid for the goods.
The payment processing is between eBay/Adyen/Managed Payments and the seller.
The buyer is the innocent party here.
That's basic in Common Law jurisdictions.

What kind of business would have a lot of medical equipment and new perfumes.

This is a problem with"consignment" sales.
In addition to the reciepts, get a contract from your employer authorizing you to sell the machines for him.
You'll also need that for your tax return since the payments are going through your Managed Payments account.

I never said the perfume was from the same place. The machines were from a laboratory I worked at. The perfume is irrelevant I have receipts for those.

The machines are small in size compared to machines that I would have to freight if we sold them. I can provide paystubs, proving that I worked there as the Operations Manager.

If you have receipts, then provide them. I would also provide written authorization from the company who owns the equipment stating you were designated/authorized to sell the equipment.
Is eBay hold the money for previous sales or are they just not allowing you to sell anything else until they are satisfied with ownership?
