Seller is listing pornographic material under Disney Collectibles. Doesn't Ebay care about this?

So my 7 year old is scrolling through eBay searching under Disney pvc figures and comes across this

eBay item 【JUNK】Falling a b*** Princess knight Jeanne Grenoble figure ( painted PVC )Pictures are too graphic to post. He says "mommy what Disney princess is this?" Of course I come over to look and what greets me is a girl spread eagle with vag in my face! I do a little searching around and it looks like this seller has over 50 items listed in the Disney category and none are Disney items. Should't items like this be posted in the Adult Category where children can't see them??? I tried reporting it to ebay days ago and they haven't done anything.  Am I wrong for not wanting my child to see these things? Another one the seller has up is a girl with a Dildo in her rear and one in her hand. Not sure how that is allowed outside of the Adult categoryHow does one get Ebay to fix this? Is reporting an item the wrong way to do it? Thanks!

You are free to stop reading at anytime. Why did you even click on this post if you didn't have a solution for the problem?

Thank you for your help! Hopefully they will listen to some of your suggestions at the next leadership meeting. Sellers would like to think that eBay is listening to them. I don't know how other sellers feel but we are not big fans of the new GTC only in fixed price listings. Some things we just don't want to have automatically renewed.

Please. Just stop. There's nothing LOL about your descriptions.

Some of us were fairly amused.  No animals or action figures were harmed in the posting of this thread.

Personally I think that a little "colorful" descriptions can make things happen.  The OP has been reporting for some time and obviously eBay was dragging their feet in removing the items.  Posted here on the board in a rather graphic manner and ZIP... they're gone in minutes.

They have never sold here, but maybe ebay gives more power to non-sellers, so the pressure is on.   Let's see what they can deliver.

Thank You! You took the words right out of my mouth. That was actually why I described the disgusting images, in hopes of getting a response. The LOL aimed at the other person was because I found their post to be humorous. If it wasn't meant that way, well it's hard to tell when we are all sitting behind computers!

I wouldn't worry too much about it.  If you post on the board, you're bound to offend someone... I'm sure I do it with every post and twice on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Hi everyone, just wanted to touch base and say we I've passed this along to the appropriate teams for review. While the severity of the violations will determine the order in which they are reviewed (something like human trafficking or firearms on the site may pose a more pressing risk, for example), we'll be sure to have these listings investigated for appropriate action. Thanks for all that you do to keep the site safe!

Human trafficking on ebay...who knew.  That makes me feel silly for some of the listings I found inappropriate.   I hope they weren't GTC.

Can I share something?

Your vivid descriptions triggered a flashback to a night  in 1972 when I hitchhiked back to my campus apartment.  The buses had stopped running and it was a few miles up Burnaby Mountain in pitch dark to Simon Fraser University.

I had done this many times in the past, but this was the last time I did it.

The man who picked me up asked me what my major was. I said Psychology.  He said well, as a psychologist, maybe you can understand what would motivate people to look at this kind of material - I caught some boys back of my house looking at these!  Just look at this and tell me what you think!

(it was too dark to see so he turned the dome light on) and started driving with one hand on the wheel, the other flipping through the magazine pages with a level of deftness that can only come from a lot of practice. All the while, giving me a running commentary of what was going on in the pictures. He seemed to be getting quite excited as he talked. Excited in both senses of the word.

His descriptions and page flippings were punctuated with What do you have to say about that!!!! demands.

I was, quite frankly, scared out of my wits but I figured the only way to get through this was to try to keep his own biological responses as ebbed as possible.   The only way I knew how to do that was give him what you might today call the Sheldon Cooper treatment.

So I started talking. Criticizing the camera work.  Criticizing the lighting. The camera angles.  Suggesting that the (named graphically by me using the medical terms I learned from a failed 6 months in nursing school) for the anatomical parts, and criticizing them.  I suggested that one of the men suffered from a severe case of  peyrone's disorder which if left untreated would soon cause crippling pain. I pointed out a dark mark on the private parts of another and suggested it might be a chancre symptomatic of syphilis.  I congratulated him on his confiscation of this material from prepubescent youth and asked him if he thought their parents should be notified and suggested that they might not be grateful to him if he reported their sons.  I went on and on and on and on and on.  I used clinical terms for what the people were doing.  I commented on the risks of bacterial transfers among orifices. blah blah blah I went.  All in a monotone.

By the time we reached the top of the mountain, he was so glad to get rid of me that he looked like he wished he had an ejection seat.  I was released unharmed but as weak as a kitten.

Despite my brave face, I was really frightened,  never hitchhiked again, and I wish I hadn't read your descriptive posts because all those feeling came back in a flash.

Not your fault, but still.... I wish you'd refrained.

The items are already gone.

But thanks for providing such a delightful textual rendition of the photos you saw. It was almost like being there, for those of us who missed seeing the actual listing.

The pornographic items are still viewable when I do the same search.  Numerous pornographic pvc figures from the same Seller in Japan.

The added comments back to the OP aren't necessary, as they were trying to provide a description of just how bad these were ..... and still are!

Alan, Brian, Brian,

Can one of you please address this issue ASAP.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could keep pornographic items from being viewed by children.

Thanks,

Greg

eBay is still dragging their feet, as the Seller (who is based in Japan) still has many pornographic PVC figures viewable when I do the same search and no Adult Verification is required.
