Anyone knows if Ebay made a decision to restrict sellers from Russia for the atrocities their leader commits in Ukraine? If not, is there a petition to pressure them doing so?

There are still some live listings from sellers that ship from Russia.

This applies to other sellers shipping TO Russia. I was asking about suspending or restricting the sellers who ship FROM Russia.

" I was asking about suspending or restricting the sellers who ship FROM Russia."
Are you making an assumption that those sellers support the recent actions? Or maybe, hypothetically, they are funding opposition and protests from their eBay sales...How would one know, and would it be ethical to blanket punish them for their geographical location?

I would guess eBay corporate would take the State Departments lead on business dealings with that region.
As to petitions, let us know if find a place/site for that. There are other countries whose governments should be taken to task for their indiscretions to their citizens....Canada for example.

Not making any assumption. Even if not directly supporting, the sellers pay their dues in taxes to the government. Therefore, indirectly funding the war. Nothing personal against the sellers, but at this point every penny counts.
Of course it would be better to stop buying oil from Russia but that's a whole different story.

Let's say the US once had a lunatic President.
Would YOU want to be held responsible for his actions?

At this point Russian based sellers will not be able to receive any proceeds from sales nor will Russian buyers be able to pay for their purchases outside of Russia so the question is moot. It's possible that internal selling and buying will still be possible within Russia but this will depend on the status of the Russian ebay. Is it a Russian company or managed by the ebay USA? As you know ebay likes money so they will want the cash flowing for services rendered. Within Russia that may be possible with local cards and a local ebay, but not one more dime wil be coming out of Russia for a while.

And I believe the ruble has collapsed.

No Assumptions Need Be Made, Russia As A Whole Needs To Be Punished In Every Way Possible!!, Has Nothing To Do With Certain Citizens Who Are Not In Support Of Putin, Which There Are Many, A Message Needs To Be Sent!!

First you have to consider that shipping outside of Russia will be impacted. Financial, energy, and transportation sanctions have already been imposed. The economic sanctions were imposed with assets frozen. Anyone attempting purchases from Russia may find they won't receive their merchandise. I can't imagine anyone who shops online that isn't aware of the current conflict, and buyers will refrain from making Russian purchases.

@antverpiastamps You are correct, the question now is moot. No payments are going into Russia and no shipping is being made out. Regarding eBay.ru, everything on that site redirects to the US platform, eBay.com. Go to the bottom of the Ebay home page, you’ll see an American flag, click the flag and it opens a pop up that lets you selection which eBay national site you want to visit.

Well if that president was still a president, there wouldn't be a question like mine. Because there wouldn't be a reason now, would it?
