Regarding Selling fees

Hi there,

This is to ask from you that since I am new to selling items on eBay, what are the fees that your company charges from each item? (for an example international, basic fees etc.)

I have to say that for the first time I started a business from your company and it is successful. Hope to grow  my shop better in the future. Thanks for the support.

You need to read all the information you can under "Selling".

Seller School would be a good idea also.

There are certain rules/provisions that apply to SL sellers.

Find those and read them.

Then come back and ask questions.

There are all kinds of variables for different categories; i.e., whether you have a store, in what categories you're selling, the dollar amount of the sale, etc. There are no simple answers to your questions.

I thought for sure Sri Lanka had listing limits when you first start selling of 1, 3 or 10 items. 

They have limits until you build up your selling performance.

May I ask why your listings are private listings? I don't see any reason for that unless you're selling an item like adult diapers or sex toys or items to treat a medical condition the buyer would not want anyone like their boss to know.

When the listing is private then in the feedback the title is blank and if someone is raving about a product in the feedback nobody will know what item they were happy with, or what items got complaints.  I won't  buy regular items made private because of that. Feedback helps you sell items but not if they can't tell from the feedback what you sold.

The eBay fee schedule will tell you what fees eBay may charge. 

Your transaction detail report will tell you what fees you paid.

Figuring out the fees for a specific item is a bit complicated because some fees are charged at the time you list, and other fees are charged at the time you sell.

It is never a good idea to start selling on any site if you don't know what fees you will be charged for using the site.  How did you develop how much to charge for your items if you didn't know all your costs.

Some suggestions about your TOS [terms of sale].

"We will ship the item to your address shown in your eBay account. Please make sure your shipping address and zip code is correct and up to date."

This isn't quite accurate.  A buyer can designate any ship to address they want to when they submit payment to a seller.  It does not have to be an address that is "shown in" their Ebay account.  It is more accurate to say that you will only ship to the ship to address stated on the payment submitted.

"100% Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the product you purchased for any reason, please contact us for a return instruction within 30 days for a refund. Return shipping cost will be paid by the buyer. "  

If a buyer files for a request for return that is for an INAD, the you will be paying for return shipping.  Since your buyer may be in a different country, they may have to pay for it first, but sellers are suppose to refund the buyer for that cost.  The ONLY type of request for return that you can have the buyer pay return shipping is a properly filed Buyer's Remorse claim.

"For all returned products, buyers MUST contact us for the returning address. "

You are suppose to have your return to address set up in your Site Preferences.  I don't think you can enforce this requirement.

"In all cases, buyers pay shipping fees at their own cost to return products for exchange or refund. We will be responsible for the postage of replacements."

Sellers are responsible for the shipping for more reasons that just replacements.  This is a policy you can't enforce.
