Example: As a motorcycle parts page, would be strange if I sold a couple Airsoft parts on my page?

Different people will have different opinion on this matter.
My opinion is no, it doesn't matter.
You can sell a carburetor and crutches. Diapers and diamonds.
When I'm a buyer, I search for the item I want and decide who I'm going to buy it from.
I couldn't care less WHAT ELSE that seller is selling.

I don’t think that there is anything doing with selling various categories.

@fivestarparts1 I debated this with myself for a few years b4 i decided to open a separate store for misc items.
I felt that those items had too much contradiction and low price point to add to this account.
It's worked out good for me.

I agree with the others, no problem crossing categories. I sell mostly Craft books and supplies. There was a time when I also sold fragrances under the same account.
The one thing you need to keep in mind is that some of the rules for Ebay Motors are different than for everything not Ebay Motors. So keep that in mind. And ask questions as you need to. We will help.

I say depends on the niche
I would not sell something over $100.00 on line here as my personal opinion is sell here what you can afford to lose.

I have a friend who sells in a niche market. He uses his wife's account for other miscellaneous items. Could be done either way as others have suggested.

OMG, the vast majority of transaction go off without a hitch. If they didn't there would be far fewer sellers as no one could make money here. And we are all here to do that.
That is not to say that there are some very big issues from time to time with a buyer and it can be an expensive one if selling an expensive item. All that needs to be considered when selling. But again these issues do not happen to the majority of transactions, it often just feels that way when you read through the community threads.

Absolutely, you are right. I sold fragrances for a long time, most well over $100. It was not a normal thing to have an issue with those transaction. It happened of course, just not often. But yes, you should always do what is best for you.

You may have been lucky or known others that have had great luck with high priced items
BUT you cannot speak for many that have had bad luck

I can. It has happened to me too. Items more than $100. All I am saying is they are not the majority of transaction that go bad. If that were the case, no one would be selling here.
I am very glad you found a method of selling here that works for you and suits your needs. We all try to find that balance.
