I don't know about the rest of you sellers, but sales have petered off for my store from 3 k to less than 1 k per month in the last 24 months. Deduct the fees from that and your in the RED. Store Promotion Sales do no good, cut prices in half don't help, gave free shipping didn't help, and eBay's return policy is a killer but that is another story horror. I am about to call it quits and join the unemployed to get all the freebies and give all my stock to local Charity's and churches, then write it all off and say Good by eBay, and thanks. I have been selling on eBay since 1999 and this last year or two has been down hill all the way. Been audited by the IRS because the 1099-K received in my mail was different than the 1099-K Paypal sent to the IRS, that was a $1000's plus fine this month and had to eat that on top of poor sales. The Economy is hurting no question about that, people just don't have any extra money or no money at all. I sell only things people need, not wants, not collectibles, I am swamped with emails "would you take and free shipping" and get plenty of watchers but buyers want it so cheap and free shipping-- there is no profit in that and Can't do that either. I rather give it away to a needy organization, at least there are no fees collected that way.

I swear my twin brother is on a "death panel" it is as if, they (doctors) are wanting him to die, he has severe heart disease, and because he was having "episodes" his main doctor told him to quit eating his heart pill? the other doctors on my brother's "team of doctors" were astonished to say the least..when they heard about that "care" ..not funny at all, but since he is not a senator, or architect or other community "leader" he is possibly a burden ..

I can relate. I went through a heartbreaking scenario with my mom who had dementia and other age related problems. During her last visit to the ER, the doctors acted as if she was a waste of air and did not even want to treat her. She had very low blood pressure and they made it seem as if the cure was worst than saving her life. She ended up in Hospice where she lingered for a week. I still kick myself that I did not make the doctors do more, but they intimadated me so much I did not act in her best interest. I still have not come to terms with it.
So I do understand where you are coming from. But I also see the other end as well, the exhorborant prices my children and my husband and I are paying for healthcare, for cr*ppy policies

But there is also the other end to think of. My son and most of his friends cannot afford health insurance because Obama care was placed strongly on their backs. Young men and women are bearing the burden of the cost. We had a great policy for a good price. Now we have a lousy policy at almost 3 times the cost.
I didn't say we could afford the insurance; simply that at least the insurance companies were forced to cover my husband which would not have been the case without the ACA. But we had no choice but to pay that high premium and even high it was much less than the COBRA payment we made each month, for 18 months.
Non-retired men and women bear the burden of social security. Retired men and women pay taxes for schools.

I personally think eBay is hiding problems. I know I'm not the first person to say it, I'm just venting.

That is exactly what i was thinking i see alot of people complaning about slow sales and yes they are slow for whatever reason but last night i went to go buy a hooked on phonics math kit for my nephew and the descriptions were horrible all i seen was vintage 1996 hooked on phonics math, excellent condition, and worst of all some descriptions were just the sellers policy on how they handle returns. Yes ebays having problems now 1 there new app sucks absolute **bleep** 2 cassini has messed up the searches 3 the free listings are flooded with junk and horribly listed items 4 paypal is been having issues and there are many other factors as to why sales are poor. No one wants to waste there time on a flawed search engine looking for an item just to get a joke of a listing that says excellent condition or a pethetic return policy. I think the reason is because ebay has made it incredabally difficult to list items, there is to much junk to fill out and sellers just want to sell if ebay cut out all the junk it would give sellers more time to do a better description. As a buyer and a seller here when i go to buy something i want to know what i am buying you might have the best item but if you have a **bleep**py description how am i supposed to know what i am buying i will actually pay more for a slightly used item with at least a accurate description versus a new one with your return policy. I guess that is ebay with its thosands of unproffesional sellers throwing **bleep** listings out there expecting buyers to pay top dollar because you explain your return policy really good. I kinda gave up buying here i enjoy buying from websites at least they take pride in there listings and i dont hafta search threw piles of junk to find what i want.

Addd people whose healthcare premiums went up under the affordable care act. Ours went from $75 biweekly to $1250 per month. ouch

Employment statistics are being sold to us like snake oil as the percentages the government boast are nothing to brag about as they do not count the millions and millions of Americans suffering long-term and permanent unemployment as well as the underemployed (i.e. professionals who once were middle and upper class earners now working ten hours a week at Walmart or the like who can not possibly keep their vehicles, homes or send their children to college).

OMG. Obamacare has nearly broken our family. We went from paying $75 biweekly to $1250 per month for healthcare insurance. No, it is not a good thing, it is redistribution of wealth and is strangling people. We had to put off our plans for adoption because of Obamacare as we are no longer stable enough for adoption. That is not a good thing!
Actually, Obama and Bush are both big government progressives one with an R one with a D, socialist light and socialist heavy.
