Did you mean:

Payments have gone from instant on PayPal to days.

This new system forces us to begin a transition to a new site, we sold one item last Thursday, $35, payment JUST arrived,  SIX DAYS LATER.  Paypal is gone for no good reason or explanation.  They moved money at the speed of light and some how they've now managed to figure out how to stall our payments and impact our cash flow negatively.  This used to be a great place to conduct online sales.  I am saddened at how they've torn down what was a fine business partner and turning into this mess.   we are moving to a new platform sadly and doing so only because doing business here has gotten so much worse and frustrating.  the new layout makes it hard to find, one example:  there is no routing or directions to get to your payments...with this new system you have to some how figure out you need to start to find your payments by finding  ACCOUNT click on that, find PAYMENT INFORMATION and then find "PAYMENTS" in mouse type along the left side of the page, out of immediate sight.  here's a thought, since payments are important to sellers, MAYBE put a button for PAYMENTS in place of accounts and once you see your payments, THEN offer a link to the account information.  i rarely need anything other than finding payments...which used to happen at the speed of light when Paypal was taking care of business, now we are checking payments throughout the next 2-3 days.     Pathetic. Sad.  Stupid.  Good bye.

Oh, and thanks to 1099Ks being issued after only $600 in sales one has to wonder what an ebay seller's 2022 tax bill will look like.

The same law that requires eBay to issue 1099-K's after $600 also requires PayPal to issue 1099-K's after $600. This is not just an "eBay thing".

An eBay seller's tax liability should look exactly the same whether he gets a 1099-K or not, unless the seller was planning to cheating on his taxes.

The 1099-K does not affect a seller's taxable income in any way.

Certain PayPal fees increased and others decreased.

Re: Payments have gone from instant on PayPal to days.

PayPal was already issuing 1099's and they will at 600 in sales just as other market places will starting 2023 for tax year 2022. eBay did not write the law to make the 1099 reporting changes. BTW you should of been paying taxes anyways if required by law. Just because you do not receive a 1099 does not mean you do not pay taxes, just as getting a 1099 does not always mean income!

What is there to "check".   The payment goes "processing" to "available" to your checking account in a few days. You want to follow the payment on it's journey?   Again what is there to check?

If sellers have been claiming their income, it shouldn't make any difference.

Have a great day

There has never been a requirement to announce your departure. You just stop selling. Unless you have a store, then you will have to cancel that. Otherwise, easy, peasy.

Re: Payments have gone from instant on PayPal to days.

These people being rude to the OP are the reason Ebay knows they can get away with any unethical practice they dream up. Why do better when you have blind loyalty?

Bottom line is whether the OP knew about the changes or not replacing Paypal with an inferior system that is hurting the very people who are the reason they have a business is simply deplorable.
This whole mess could've easily been avoided had they left Paypal as an option but their need of obscene greed would never allow for that. Ebay is delaying payments for the interest it incurs, it's as simple an evil as that.
