I ship USPS priority mail on 99% of my items.
I had an item being shipped to Canada in a SFRB
I wanted $100 worth of insurance but USPS didn't offer it for some reason (printing labels thru ebay)
So I bought ship coverage insurance for $1.70
Postage was $23.70 for a total of $25.40
My shipping label says $23.70
In my paypal account I can see the 2 charges BUT
On eBay it's nowhere to be found!
The eBay customer service rep says your tracking number starts with HJ
I ask in confusion what does that mean? He says I have shipcoverage insurance
I SAY ~ HOW THE HECK DO I KNOW THAT?
He's quiet, no answer, crickets
So again I ask where on my account can I see I bought ship coverage insurance for this order.
Again SILENCE, I said goodbye and thanks for the HJ info. . .

Are you a TRS? If so, you have $100 insurance automatically when shipping Priority (or flat rate) through the eBay interface. If not, then you have the standard $50 coverage for the same packages. International shipments through the USPS are a little goofy with who offers what insurance, though.
(On a regular label) Look at your label. It should say "Insured" in the fine print, upper left corner area under the date, originating zip code, and the weight.
Not sure about the tracking preface. If your parcel is insured, though, it *will* show on the label/paperwork.

If you can, buy through Insure Post, it is very simple to do and you get a separate receipt.

You won't see the insurance charge on the label because it's 3rd party insurance.
Shipcover will send you a separate email regarding your coverage.

Thank You
You would think the eBay rep would've told me this. . .
