Interesting day. Maybe things are getting better.

This morning while playing spider solitaire on the computer, got an e-mail saying I made a sale.  Just a music CD.

Instantly printed packing slip grabbed a box ready to go and packed it. Printed packing and went to the post office. 14 minutes after getting the sale, post office had it in their possession.

This afternoon, I added a new listing, two books on the FDNY and in less than an hour got a message they had sold.

Could this be a good sign???????

Sounds promising. Someone spending their Christmas money.

As an aside:   I never physically ship within the "golden hour".

I have had to pull them back out of the mailbox more than a time or two.

You mean because they may buy more items and want combined shipping?

I think @buyselljack2016 refers to this. >> How buyers can cancel an order | eBay

Scroll down to "Cancel an order you made within the last hour".

Yet, we joke about that at least twice a month here.  And then we wonder if it really is a joke.

Re: Interesting day. Maybe things are getting better.

For lakefor94. So far only had one person cancel an order. Placed the order around 9:00 pm, and asked to cancel even before I woke up the next morning.

For 4pawsup, if traffic is light i can make the post office in about 5 minutes. This time I only had to wait in line about a minute. Traffic was very light, and the only traffic light turned green right as I pulled up to it.

That part went okay. Now if only the sun (if it still exists) will show itself, I will be happy.

Re: Interesting day. Maybe things are getting better.

Very slow 4th quarter. Slowest I've ever experienced in 12 years as a seller. Prior to 90 days ago I was making 10+ sales a day. Now my average is 2-3 a day. I've had two cancellations this week. Am a premium store subscriber with my number of listings maxed out. I also promote at 4% across the board.

Re: Interesting day. Maybe things are getting better.

I always do well right after Christmas. I figure it's a combination of Christmas money and people buying some things that they had hope to receive as gifts, but didn't.

Re: Interesting day. Maybe things are getting better.

I took 9 to the Post Office Tuesday.

I took 16 to the Post Office today.

I have 11 to pack for the Post Office tomorrow.

Before Christmas, I was lucky to get one a day on the days I ship (Mon/Wed/Fri).

Still very dead here. I have to go at least a decade back to remember such a paltry November December
