How would you handle this situation?

Hello everyone, I am still shocked by the way Ebay has handled this situation I’m having with a buyer.

He bought an item from me and he was demanding too many stuff like discounts and stuff, so u just canceled the order and he started harassing me by calling me ill ni**e. And other harsh stuff. I called Ebay and they have yet to take action.

He he left me harassing feedback as well and do y’all think they’ll remove them?

"I am still shocked by the way Ebay has handled this situation I’m having with a buyer. "

How has eBay "handled this situation"?

" he was demanding too many stuff like discounts and stuff,"

What is "stuff"?

" just canceled the order"

It would appear you are well versed in doing this.

Looks like you have your share of problems.

Perhaps Communication & Customer Service may be an issue for you?...idk

Re: How would you handle this situation?

Normally I wouldn't cancel after somebody bought something.

The feedback does not break any rules.

EBay won't do anything about messages.

I would just say live and learn. Canceling orders leaves you open to bad feedback.

Re: How would you handle this situation?

did you check the address for the buyer that last left you a negative that has one feedback to see if it's the same guy?

Re: How would you handle this situation?

Don't be shocked when you are banned from selling due to sub-standard seller metrics.

I'm shocked that eBay hasn't removed your reply, which does violate eBay policy against mentioning an eBay investigation.

And there is no investigation. 😊

Id move on and try to improve my business practices in the future. From the looks of it, you asked the buyer to pay more after the sale and they were upset.

Cannot figure out what he called you, but

You need to be careful when you cancel orders because it will result in defects.

Did you let ebay see the emails where he is asking for more than what is listed in the auction.  That is a nono and you should have pulled up the rule saying so, uploaded that and the email to ebay and get it on notice.

Then send the item as usual.  If a proble such as negative feedback or a return, then call ebay and have it closed in your favor.

Re: How would you handle this situation?

What would I do?

First, I would have immediately reported the buyer to ebay for unreasonable demands.

I would have NOT replied to any message asking for anything other than a single reply that I can not give discounts and would they like to cancel.

I would have waited until the buyer paid OR if they did not, to file the unpaid dispute as soon as I could.

Then after the name calling in messages, I would have called ebay and asked for dispute resolution and had a nonaccented CS in the US look at the messages and had them cancel the transaction for me.

I would NOT have replied to the feedback, replies are harder to remove, and immediately reported it and called a US feedback specialist CS and had them look at it and the messages and removed it.

Hopefully you had the buyer demands backed up with ebay CS because if the ebay bots take a look and find that there is nothing wrong with the address, you will get a double whammy defect on your selli account and it looks like your account can not afford to have extra defects athis time.

Re: How would you handle this situation?

I find you have fallen short of describing the tranaction well enough for us to get a picture of what's at issue

It appears you feel been insulted by a buyer who left negative feedbacks.  Your responses didn't settle anything for the buyer or yourself.

I wouldn't worry, you have enough other negatives that you haven't responded to at all which does more damage to you than being called a name.

I've been called names. What people are incapable of grasping is the fact they haven't insulted me at all. Nor can they insult me. That's because their opinions of me mean absolutely nothing to me.  While there are friends who could insult me, the number of those people as a pertengae of US population is somwhere down around the number of electrons in an atom of Hydrogen.

Without some details to clarify what actually happened, it is impossible to give any advice as to how I would handle this situation.

What I have learnt by reading your feedback is clothing is a tough category to sell in. Can't seem to please everyone.

Not only that, but sellers are not supposed to ask buyers for any more money, for anything, post sale.  It's against the rules, AFAIK.  Possibly seller can get a violation if the buyer reports it.  They will get a violation if they post a negative feedback in a positive format for the buyer, and CS will remove the neg.

I see one bad feedback that says, Fake.  If this is the one you are referring to, Ebay would probably decline to remove on grounds that this is the buyer's opinion.

Sorry.

Love this!  Someone's opinion has to mean something to you for you to be insulted.
