Feeling Suspicious About a Buyer. Should I be concerned?

I recently listed a piece of clothing for over $850 and the buyer has paid to my PayPal which I did check and was on hold.  So far so good but when I looked further into detail, I noticed this buyer has the same address but different name as another of my recent buyers.  I messaged this buyer if he knew or was related to the other buyer and he said no.  Now I am very suspicious.  Should I ship?  What happens if the item is delivered to him and he disputes and claims he never got it or something was wrong?

It's probably a mail drop/forwarder, nothing really to be concerned about.

Did you have a problem with that buyer?

Google the address. What does Google tell you about it?

College dorm? Mail drop box? Reshipper? Could be a lot of things that are actually legit.

If nothing adds up or makes sense go with your gut.

Yes but a new seller canceling without cause can become a really big problem.

I realize that.  But if you lose your ability to sell, then there goes your livelihood or surplus income.

So far no problems but it's just he's kind of pushy in the messages.  Like he wants the package to be shipped very fast.

Re: Feeling Suspicious About a Buyer. Should I be concerned?

I googled the address and I'm pretty sure it's residential since it says people live there and stuff but I couldn't find his name in the resident list and when I searched the address on maps, it looks really sketchy and looks like a warehouse of some sort.

OP ignore anyone attacking you for asking a question. Even the most experienced sellers encounter situations they are unfamiliar with, and it's totally human to seek advice on how to handle. Someone with first-hand experience with this will likely respond.

Re: Feeling Suspicious About a Buyer. Should I be concerned?

Did you check your paypal account.

Is the money in there and you got an OK to ship.

IMO, ship according to the time line in your listing.  Do not let buyers intimidate you into making a mistake.

And make sure because it is over $750 value to get online shipping confirmation.  It is a must.

Agree, It can also be a multi unit building. I once had 2 packages go out to the same apartment building in the same week. I googled it and it was a complex of over 40 housing units!

I do not see anyone here showing disrespect.  And we are all long time sellers with a lot of experience.

Re: Feeling Suspicious About a Buyer. Should I be concerned?

I'm leaning towards a reshipper since it looks kind of like a warehouse but what I'm suspicious about is that the buyer has 3 names in his name (M** H* Y**) and 2 of the names are the same as the previous buyer which he says he has no relation to.  The previous buyer was (H* S** Y**), as you can see they had the same last name/middle name.

Re: Feeling Suspicious About a Buyer. Should I be concerned?

A warehouse would be considered commercial not residential.

Could this be a forwarder and that is why you have had two unrelated from the same address.

That is why I asked if you had a problem with the other transaction.
