Did you mean:

Duh - I created my own search problem

I like many other sellers use a hyphen in some of my listings.

Stupid Arcane Product -For Weirdos

If I were to type this exact product name in any of the Ebay searches including my own store. It does not appear,

If I type any part of the product other than the hyphen, it will appear.

Then I remembered that when you use -XXX nothing is included in the results that contains XXX.

It has been years since I deliberately created a search which intentionally excluded a word in the results.

I was ready to start a thread or join an existing thread, complaining about how my products were being suppressed,

Duh - I created my own search problem

In general, I make it a rule to never use any punctuation marks in any of my listing titles, even when it's suggested by eBay or in the actual product's title.

Using a hyphen in a title is OK as long as you leave a space before the word following the hyphen.

Even your title with the hyphen as shown is really only a problem if someone copies the title and searches using the pasted title; something a buyer is unlikely to do, though the seller certainly might do that to check on the seller's own listings.
