seller has not received return after ebay refunded money

What happens if seller does not receive return?  eBay has already refunded buyer.

Did Ebay have to step in and approve the return?

If they got involved, you probably won't get the item back.

Refund was requested for item not received.

Seller never responded then shipped item.

In the meantime, eBay refunded purchase price.

USPS  returned shipment to seller.  

Seller has not picked up package from post office (seller has PO box).

USPS says if not picked up, package goes to unclaimed and is difficult to get back.

Buyer, me, concerned seller may cause issue for not returning a somewhat valuable item.

Seller can not do anything to you,once you were refunded case was closed and can not be reopened,neither eBay or you are involved at that point.Any lose is on seller for not picking package up

Buyer returned package. Buyer received refund. Package at PO and hasn't been picked up by seller yet.

What will happen? Nothing, you got your refund. The refund cannot be reversed.

Worst case scenario? PO holds it for 30 days and then returns it to you, the sender.

You got your refund and the case was closed, so there's nothing the seller can do to you.

If the seller wants their item back, they need to pick it up.

In these cases, Ebay accepts an attempted delivery as good as delivered.
