When I click on Terapeak product research link I get an error message "You've exceeded the number of requests allowed in one day. Please try again tomorrow."  I have never gotten this before and I can not find anyway around it.  I have reset everything and still get the message.  Any Ideas out there?

I'm having the same exact problem and it's really annoying. I need to list items and use Terapeak for research and setting my prices.  I am frustrated beyond words. I was fin ally making headway this evening and now I have this obstacle to contend with. Grrrrrrrr..........

This must be something new.  I have researched about half the number items I usually do in a day. Now my listing has come to a screeching halt for the day.  I can understand a limit if someone isn't using it for productivity, but I list over 100 items a day and rely on this.  At least make it a paid option to get more queries - it is something us sellers have to use in order to list on eBay.  It feels like some idiot in a cubicle turned this limit on without thinking of what they were doing.  Come on eBay, don't make it harder to list on your site...  We have enough to deal with!

I realize Ebay aint watchin, but just wanted to throw out that this is affecting my ability to list as well.  Just bought a box of about 300 vintage 8 track tapes and was using terapeak to sort.  Have to decide which ones to sell loose and which to bundle.  Made it less than half way through the box and I'm at a standstill.

This happened again today.  This is honestly unacceptable.  I don't know the exact number of queries I did, but it was probably around 100 before I got the error. 

Other things that happened is that I tried using my second account to search more and the error message gets carried over to the second account

This error also carries over to my phone if I try to use it on there

I am researching rare and hard time find items.  So yeah, if you were you researching common items you could use advanced search, but I need the full year of data to find some of my items.

They should AT LEAST give an option to pay for more queries.  I literally can't do my job because someone thought it was a good idea to limit the queries.

Anyone tried signing out and then back in/closing browser/reopening to see if that might work?

The server blocks you using your ip, so it doesn't even help using another ebay account. Only option is to use a vpn or proxy. 

Honestly unacceptable, there are people who use this service all day every day for their jobs. Their needs to be a paid option at least for powerusers.

You might try Worthpoint........it is a paid service that has the info from ebay........

I am having the same issue.  First happened to me on 9/10/21.  I have employees you research and list for me, one came to me saying there was computer issues.  He had been looking things up for 1.5 hrs and got the limit error.

I contacted customer service via Chat and after being disconnected and hung up on three times was told that there is a limit of 250 daily searches (at least per the rep...).  Received and email from the specialist rep later saying the error was all on their side and things should be better now.

Come into work today (9/13/21) and same thing happens.  Get into contact with customer service via Chat function and no one has a clue.  Get forwarded three times and end up with a "specialist rep" who states that Terrapeak is a contracted outside service and while they will contact the third party provider, there is nothing that they can do at eBay.

So I guess I just send my employees home and call it a day?  **bleep**!?!

This is shockingly dumb.  If I can't research products to buy/sell then I AND eBay can't make money...   I am PAYING for these research tools...  and I NEED THEM RIGHT NOW!

I agree WorthPoint‘s website is very valuable! 👍 Including the library and dictionary plus the ability to research symbols in the maps area!

I have never once complained about eBay because I love their site and have been on here for 22 years. 

But to take an essential tool away that so many people rely on every day is just ridiculous.  I can't even do my job.  My employees can't do their job. 

This either needs to get fixed right away or at least have a paid option for more searches.

Just tried Worthpoint.  It may work well for antiques, but certainly not media.  Thanks for the suggestion.
