IS EBAY SERVER DOWN???

FOR TWO DAYS I HAVE TRIED TO CHANGE MY USER NAME AND EBAY STORE BUT I GET A MESSAGE THAT THE SERVER IS DOWN. IS THIS CORRECT?

I also faced this while signing in but it seemed to just clear out by itself. It happened in less than 24hours

I have seen many complaints from users trying to change usernames for the last week, since Friday 9/20 when there were many serious site-wide issues going on. Most folks seemed to be getting an error with a red exclamation point symbol rather than a server down message; perhaps eBay is working on the problem, and that accounts for the difference in error message.

The "server down" message seems to be a generic message that appears in various situations when a particular function may not be working correctly, but that may have nothing to do with any actual ebay.com server issues.

Several users have indicated that they were able to change usernames by calling in to customer service.
