What is this decorative caged purple glass bottle called? It has a long narrow metal stem

I found this vintage bottle recently, it looks like India or Mexico metal work perhaps. There is a long narrow stem, I though perhaps for an atomizer - but it has a ribbed end like a hose attaches? Any ideas? Thanks!

it is an egyptian rose water sprinkler

well, maybe not egyptian per se but north africa, middle east possibly morocco
