Vintage Cased Glass Inkwell?

Is that what this is?  The colors are rich, there is no lid.  Any information I can get on the origin, age, or even a better description of this little beauty will be much appreciated,,

Thanks, kyal

Vintage Cased Glass Inkwell?

I think it looks like a mouth-blown perfume bottle, but any use is good: tooth pick holder? Etc.?

I used to have a stained glass studio (Music For The Eye) for over 27 years and one of the glass sheets I've used looked a LOT like your bottle and it was made in Germany.  In the Olden Days, the best glass was in Europe so, places like Tiffany would import almost all their glass from there.  USA was blah.  Not any more, though!  We've got gorgeous glass now.

I hope this helps. Any signature on the bottom?

When talking about this to my friends; "perfume bottle" and "toothpick holder" came up as possibles, buti "inkwell" was the very tenuous first choice.  I'll lave to look a lot closer but I didn't see a mark.  German and Czech occurred to me as possible points of origin.  Thanks for the quick info!
