Does anyone have any info or value of pottery made by Ted Sampley. Sampley was a Viet Nam veteran. Live in Kinston, NC. Made pottery under the name THE POTTER WHEEL. Most famous pottery was "pig in the blanket". Died in 2004.
Was very active in Viet Nam MIA/KIA recovery and IDs. He ID the soldier in the "Viet Nam tomb of Unkown Soldier". Active politically against John McCain and John Terry.
A pitcher signed by him and no. 97 on it is coming up for auction (sorry no picture) Saturday.
This signature is like script. From what I read, his pottery was marked TLS, I can't find any completed auctions on his work.
