Porcelain Cherub W/ Baby Rattle Candy or Cigarette Dispenser?

Hi All,

Found these in a thrift store and am not sure what they were used for. They measure 5 3/4" high. The cup portion of the rattle measures about 3" opening but only about 2 3/4" deep, hardly enough t hold much in the way of candy, nuts, etc. My sister thought they held cigarettes for a "party". The rattles are at an slight angle. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...   ...Steve

Thanks for the reply Rockstar. Egg cups might be a possibility although the egg cups I have seen seem to be much smaller than the 3 inch diameter opening. A cigarette dispenser also seems to be odd for the theme.

Cigarettes didn't always have a bad rep. You can find plenty of cherub cigarette holders and ashtrays, smoking sets.
