No backstamp but a porcelain imprint -- any clue?

Hi again.  Another poser dealing with a piece I thrifted.  No inked backstamp whatsoever.  However, when I held it up to the light, there was a clearly visible mark which had been impressed into the porcelain itself.  Pic is below, but it's "1266", then "55" at a 90 degree angle to the first numbers, then "5" right-side-up again, as it were.  Please help me learn something new that might characterize this item!

PS:  Recently got a ton of secondhand books specifically on porcelain marks, so perhaps I'll be able to HELP here soon rather than just leech...:)

I suspect this is Austrian (or perhaps German) circa 1900.  The numbers are production numbers for the blank and most likely will provide no help in identifying the manufacturer, which may or may not have been the decorator.
