Looks like recent glass, department store giftware type. Probably manufactured in Europe.

Maybe someone who knows more than I do will post something about it.

I'm not positive but from the photo it looks like the rim of bowl is crimped all the way around? That, plus how shiny it is, makes me think new. But I've been fooled before.
