Help with spongeware ID

Looking for any info on this spongeware. The pieces are small with the pitcher being 5" tall (7" to top ball of lid) and the other pieces are 2.5-3.5" tall.

They are each marked with a small black (Japanese??) mark. Each mark is different on each of the pieces.256428189_305240847926647_4101208200184982772_n.jpg257734591_599400797968298_39935637475454745_n.jpg257768801_610598400123917_3373278399553353469_n.jpg.

Re: Help with spongeware ID

I don’t know the maker but the mark looks like the letters A and K, rather than a symbol or Japanese character.

Re: Help with spongeware ID

Given the size, is it possible they're meant for children?

Re: Help with spongeware ID

That's exactly what I was thinking. There is an identical pitcher on ebay by Marshall Pottery and the craftsmen and women were known to incise or sign in ink. However,Marshall is always marked on the bottom. They are out of business but a few others still in Marshall Texas making nice pottery.
