Hi All,
I have been banging my head against a wall trying to learn more about this piece, but most of the info I am finding is regarding J. Clementson transferware or pieces later produced under the name Clementson Brothers. Bottom mark reads: J. Clementson Hanley
Appreciate any information you can share, or if you can point me in the direction of someone who might specialize in such items. I have reached out to several sources, but haven't received any replies.
Thanks so much!
Cassie

the pottery iself is ironstone, typical of the late 19th century.

Thanks Janet. I discovered this site earlier, but very little on J. Clementson pieces like mine. Very interesting to read his story though!

there is really no important story here. most english potteries produced ironstones in the late 19th century as cheap imitation of porcelains.
