Help please identifying the maker of this superbly crafted salt glaze tea bowl. The side has a 'dimple' impressed into it, possibly a thumb grip, and the glaze is absolutely gorgeous. It is signed with what appears to be kanji characters within a circle. This, along with several other Japanese modernist pottery pieces were brought back to the US in 1948 by a doctor who had travelled there to study the effects of radiation. Thanks for any help!
