Can anyone help identify this mini creamer and dish set?
The only thing I know about it was that it belonged to my grandfather (who immigrated from Canada and died in 1971). there is NO maker mark on any of the dishes. There is a small chip on the bottom of the creamer (see photo).
Is it possible to determine if it is porcelain or ceramic?
And help would be greatly appreciated.

Two companies that made this style of individual restaurant ware creamer are John Maddock of England and Greenwood in the US. I'll post a photo of each so you can see.

Makes me think of restaurant ware.

porcelain is a ceramic, all fired clays are ceramic. this looks like restaurant or hotel porcelain. Often very thick and opaque. I doubt if a maker can be identified.

As you can see, the bottoms are different as are the heights. My vote is for John Maddock which is the shorter. My Maddock creamer had a nick but it sold anyway.

Thank you so very much. I agree, it looks like the John Maddock style of creamer.

there are industrial porcelains (hotel ware, restaurant ware, toilet ware) that are indeed opaque.

Thank you everyone for your knowledge and insights. I have finally gotten around to listing the creamer and dishes on eBaby. Thank you.
