Is this kycremedyweb.ebay.com legitimate?

Ebay has informed me that they cannot pay me for my sales (nor allow for me to purchase anything??) because of my outdated credentials as they are no longer allowing for sellers to receive money via paypal. I am now being forwarded to put in my social, address and bank account information on a site starting with "kycremedyweb.ebay. ____________" etc. and it feels super sketchy. Is there any way I can validate that I'm not putting my info out there to the wrong or an unsecure platform? Thanks very much!

Due to transition to managed payments vs payment with PayPal. Your payments will go into your bank account. You can still purchase items with PayPal. I suggest that you read up on managed payments.

Yes it's legit. As with all sites, verify that it is https which signifies a secure site vs just regular http. I do agree with the sketchiness though and your trepidation.

What in the address comes after the .com? Is there a / followed by anything? How does the address end?

KYC is indeed an eBay (and industry) term for 'Know your Customer'. While most prominently discussed for eBay India sellers and that vetting process, it's also one of the verification steps for managed payments. However, the process itself is not just a single click.

I'm looking more into this, but my suspicion is that this was a Seller Hub banner that inadvertently went out to a larger audience than intended. Because you haven't been notified to register for managed payments the single click 'successfully' verified you because you aren't on any list to take through the subsequent steps.

Again, that's just my half-baked idea (disclaimer that I'm not a payments teammate here), but I'll see if there's more info I can find out."
