This is a junk drawer find. It is not marked that I can see and I'm just wondering if anyone recognizes the style or materials. It's heavy and not glass or plastic. The turtle charm is magnetic although the beads are not (they look the same). I have a rough chunk of something like this somewhere, I forget the mineral name. There aren't any markings on the clasp which looks cheap. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hematite is not magnetic, if it also contains magnatite it will be magnetic.The turtle looks like "magnetic hematite" a trade name which is a manmade material and does not contain iron.
That's it, thanks! Any idea about the purple beads? It doesn't look like anything I've seen, maybe dyed something like quartz or marble? It looks "fake" or altered, but not glass. I can't really get better pictures with my phone...
