I need help with identifying this antique doll. I'm not a collector. Is it Shirley temple. I can't look at her neck since the hair is a wig that has netting attached to her head. her eys open and close. She measures approx. 23 inches. Any help is always appreciated. Thank You!

Not Shirley, as I believe she would have the Ideal logo on her back and/or her neck.

She could be a McGuffey Ana or Princess Elizabeth (uses same face) Made by Madame Alexander
Sometimes the mark is a small x in a circle (alexander)
Her wig looks like Princess Elizabeth's - no braids.
She looks composition - can you tell?
Here are three different-sized McGuffey Ana's (all composition):

she's a comp and I would be pulling up a bit on the wig in back. I think my moms comp is marked on the back [one of the quints] but on the back check the back or the back of neck would be places to look she also could be an ideal but I don't think Shirley in either case. they also could be in symbols then a letter inside

check thisout and it would be on the head if there and a different size: apparently Ideal didn't make alot of these dolls as they didn't want to pay royalties and had non shirley temple shirley temple dolls
