They are both 1.5" in diameter. The tiny picture is under domed glass. On the back, there are two pieces of metal which are movable (up and down) as in perhaps you could attach it to something. Thanks in advance!

The backs on this pair of rosettes are not right for bridle rosettes. You wouldn't be able to attach them to a bridle.
This listing shows the correct back for bridle rosettes:

And this listing shows a vintage bridle with rosettes attached, showing how they are put on. The rosettes are not original to this bridle, because they are not usually used on a hunting bridle like this, but they are installed correctly.

I found a listing for a rosette that is just like the one of yours with the horse and gig, which has a pinback soldered on to make it into a pin:

I don't recall seeing a rosette with a back like yours in the 20th century when these were used and are usually thought to have been made. I suspect that they may be more recent reproductions, sorry.

I haven't been on the boards in a while and just saw your response. Thanks for taking the time to respond w/ pictures and an explanation. Whenever they were made, they did sell and the buyer gave positive feedback. It's all good. 🙂
