Looking for pipe smokers and or collectors!

I'll post up some pictures soon, but first wanted to give a heads up to those that collect vintage pipes/humidors/stands.

I have an old Alfred Dunhill pipe box, (for lack of a better term), that's about 12-14 inches square (cube). It has a hinged and lockable top, with double-doors on the front that are secured by the hinged top. Inside is a humidor for tobacco, with each door in the front having space for 3 pipes each. below the humidor is a divider area for storage of pipe cleaning supplies, spare parts, etc.  The box appears to be made of walnut with the top inlaid with burlwood or something similar.  Pretty decent shape considering it's probably old!  Under the top lid, there's a metal tag that reads Alfred Dunhill, London, New York, Paris.  Definitely used, I know this for a fact because it belonged to my late uncle, an avid pipe smoker!

Inside the box I found about a dozen pipes, all in pretty decent shape, except for one or two that the bowls have cracked.  Several different brands - Purex, Amphora, Dunhill, Bruyere.  All are Briar, and two of them are painted - one red, one white! (branded D.E. COLOR)

There's also a bronze "Scotty Dog" pipe stand, probably made by Ronson, some sort of folding knife for cleaning pipes I imagine, and a small tin of "Aztec Freshies".

Obviously I'm looking for information as well as possible worth!  I hope to put it up for auction soon!  Comments welcome, thanks in advance!

The white one may be painted, but more likely it’s made of meerschaum

Possibly, but it is stamped "Genuine Briar"

Re: Looking for pipe smokers and or collectors!

You have a treasure trove.

If planning on selling here by all means research sold listings.

Well, I won't TOTALLY rule it out!  I understand that there are/were some manufacturers that weren't completely honest!
