Large onyx sculpture........Help......Pelican? Maker? Thanks

Help.  This thing is 16 pounds of what I think is onyx.  I think it looks like a pelican (has a groove where the beak is on both sides and groove in back for wings....or abstract?

Who made it? Whats the value?  14 inches tall about 7 inches wide.   Thanks for any help.

If unsigned, likely you'll never know.   But I will add...  carved onyx pieces usually come from México.
