Anyone recognize this artist or signature?

This painting was in a glass frame and the edges were folded back to make it fit. When I took it out and unfolded it I found a signature. It is painted on a heavy canvas material. Measures about 24" by 28". The name looks like 'SADE' or 'SAGE' to me, but I could not find any artist by this name. Thanks for any help!

Looks like Sade.  (Like the Nigerian singer.)   A souvenir painting, I'd think.
