On left side of note there is a handstamped circular overprint in color red stating; SPARKASSE GEMEINDE HORST. This translates to;
'Horst Community Savings bank'.

Stadt Horst is about 230 miles North of Stadt Landau in der Pfalz.
Note: The area was a great coal producer during the time prior to
govt crackdown on coal burning.
**Coal or not, this note is an interesting piece of Numismatic history and a nice addition to Heron's small collection. This note was also from the small collection Heron acquired during 2nd half 2023. It is always fun to add an interesting item to the collection. Collecting Numismatics has been a fun hobby since April 1946. And, hopefully, Heron will be able to 'report' more interesting items soon.**
