Coin or token ?

Does anyone know anything about this?  What language/country of origin?  Is it currency? or a token? or ....?

Is it slightly larger than a quarter in diameter.  Shiny silver on surface and edge.

A token used in a 1960's Japanese slot machine. Friend of mine had one in his basement.
