eBay no longer has phone "support" anywhere for its customers.

No phone support = no customer !!!!will be my last purchase on eBay. Do not try to speak with anyone they don't care about it. It's more than a decade buying and selling with no problems put now SKYNET controls everything just unbelievable.

Ebay Customer Service does not have a direct phone line, and hasn't for several years.

 

Most questions can be answered here by other experienced & knowlegeable Ebay members.

It's seldom necessary to speak to a CS rep. The entire Money Back Guarantee process is fully automated. You can read about it here and possibly find out how to take care of your problem without a call.

That option doesn't work anymore.  It directs you to ebay's automated "bot" which will eventually lock up after redirecting  you back to questions you already answered.

No, there is not even chance to speak to eBay Customer Service. We resolved our issue with an automatic assistant, but we spent two days. The assistant does not make things easy. It is terrible experience! For this money eBay makes, sellers deserve Customer Service help over the phone. Especially now, when there is lots of scammers out there!

You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.

 

To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent or a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.

 

What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.

 

Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.

You can still talk to a live person on the phone through the "call back" feature.  If the problem you are having is unusual, involves money, fraud, fake tracking scams or any other serious issue they probably can't help you.  The are very polite, and empathetic. Will often tell you not to worry that they will handle it, but do not be surprised if nothing they promise ever takes place.  Remember, the "will contact you in 24-48 hours" is the typical code word for NEVER.  If you follow their advice, and it is wrong and the situation gets worse, it is going to be on you, for eBay will not stand behind any advice you are given from these foreign based call center agents you get in a call back or chat.  They are live people though.  So are we.

I used the chat box and put "agent".  The chat box verified the phone number in my contact information and I received a call form e-bay customer service in under 5 minutes.  Jan 12, 2024 caller ID showed EBAY

The entire "customer support" from ebay reps is TOTALLY BOGUS! If you try to resolve a legitimate problem ebay will give you a run around as you become blind sided by going into confusing circles. It is a disgraceful treatment of customers while the CEO and other ebay executive staff remain idle with a weak lame agenda of endless excuses.
