Is there a way to turn off offers from other sellers to purchase their items? I don't want them.

Log out of eBay and clear your cookies before searching.

Look in your Account Settings, Communication Preferences, you can turn off these notifications.

You only get the special offers from sellers, if you open their Sponsored listings, in a listing page you are already on.   Sometimes the messages add up but sometimes you can get a great offer for the same item you searched for in the same condition.  If you mouse over the bell symbol and click on the (X) in those messages it removes them from the actual ebay messages page.
