eBay.com now has the option of ... Group Similar listings.
The grouping appears to be based on ISBN.
How one lists a book, and how different one tries to be compared to the.... no photo, book title only, no information about the book ....sellers... the low pricers.
This grouping option will put all of the listings of the same book together in one group... The listings will all be shown together on one page.
The ISBN will be required for all new listings or relists of books..... It is the ISBN or the statement ... Does Not Apply

Is this something new? It is difficult to list a recent - last 40 years or so - book without an ISBN number. althought possible. Once done however, don't all listing for the same book come up when a potential buyer does a search?

Many sellers will list a book putting the title of the book as the title of the listings.
For non-fiction books, the content of the book is more important than the title of the book.
There are ways to list a book using keywords that people will use to search for a book. This book will sit separate from others wih the same ISBN.....
However with a grouping approach all books with the same ISBN should appear together on the same page.... regardless of the content of what is in the title of the listing.
Do a search for ... Capital in Flames ... in non-fiction books. If one knows the war of 1812 it was Washington that was in flames... not York in Upper Canada... But!!!
In the book ...It was York in Upper Canada (York is Toronto today) where the armoury was set on fire to keep the arms away form the attacking Americans.
Then do a search for War of 1812 York
and see what appears in non-fiction books.... and where the book shows up
