Why is eBay overcharging on taxes!?

Noticed that eBay is overcharging me on taxes, item purchased should be at least $4 less on taxes... pretty significant considering. Can't get a hold of anyone on eBay to resolve,

Ebay charges the buyer sales tax based on the buyer's shipping address and the total amount paid to the seller which includes shipping charges.

The tax rate in my state/county is 8.25%. so whats math on an item 157.5  x 8.25%...its not $16.80 which was what eBay collected

Did you remember to add in the shipping charges you paid to that total?

(Price of item + shipping charges) x sales tax rate.
