Item 281697224017 had a bidding price start of $275 dollars with no buy now option. It appears the seller added a buy it now price about 12 hours before the end of the action. The item was sold that way very quickly. Is this allowed? I was really looking forward to bidding on this item. This just doesn't seem like something EBAY would allow but I may be wrong. Thank you for your time reading this.
If there are no bids, the seller is allowed to make certain changes to the listing and adding a BIN option is one of them. It looks like it was listed for at least 4 days without a bid. Seller might've been going for the bird-in-the-hand-for-more-money-option at that point. It also could've been a big mistake (by leaving lots of money on the table)
While it ruins the spirit of an auction, they didn't break any formal policies. They created a disappointed eBay bidder/buyer though =\
