I have an item a buyer in Germany wants to purchase but it says I don't ship to Germany, but I have international shipping ?

Re: International shipping to Germany

Hi @vintage125p

This may be because of the 2019 German Packaging Act detailing requirements for packages. They require sellers to register with the government and get a LUCID number to ensure packaging is sustainable. You can read more about it here.

Re: International shipping to Germany

Doesn't E-bays international shipping program take care of this ?

Re: International shipping to Germany

The individual seller is required to register directly with the German government and get that LUCID number. eBay cannot do this on behalf of the seller, they would be breaking German law. To my knowledge, this is the only country with this type of requirement of the 200 countries eBay ships to. Here's more information about it - it's actually a 2019 law which began in 2022.
