If I change my store from Starter to Basic, can I switch back down later?

I'd like to increase the number of listings I have, but just for a short time (like 3 months).  I'm currently at the Starter Store level, which works just fine - but I'm at my limit and I have a bunch of new items to list for maybe the next 3 months.  Can I change my subscription UP to the Basic Store..... for like 3 months.... then switch back down later?  

Any downsides to doing that?  (0ther than the increased fee for the time I'm at the higher level)....

@mrsordway  as long as u r paying month to month, u won't get a penalty charge. just be sure to use the full month up and end it b4 it restarts.
